Welcome to your Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)!
Did you know that each John Paul II Catholic High School family is automatically a member of the PTO? Our main objective is to foster open communication and cooperation between parents, faculty, and administration. We are the lead organization for the student Distinguished Lecture Series, SouthWoodstock and the Wine Tasting and provide hospitality support for school and family functions.
Your PTO holds four informative meetings each school year. In September, we host a “Meet The Teachers Night”, where parents get to follow their student’s class schedule and meet their teachers. In October, we hold our annual “College Night” - an important event for all parents with students in Grades 9-12. Our remaining two meeting are held in January and February. Parents should plan to attend each meeting – we need to hear your voice and attendance is vital to your student’s success at John Paul II Catholic High School.
Our school may be small – but we do BIG things! John Paul II Catholic High School parents and families are amazing volunteers and our events would not succeed without your help. Studies have found that students from families with above-average parent involvement were 30 percent more successful in school than those with below-average involvement. Success was measured by GPA; test scores in math, science, reading, and social studies; college acceptance and scholarship rates and social success. Your involvement matters!
So, please volunteer throughout the year for PTO events. We appreciate your busy schedules (just check out our Board Bios below!) and will provide volunteer opportunities throughout the year to match your interests and schedules.
