About Us
History
A ministry of the Diocese of
Pensacola-Tallahassee,
John Paul II is the only Catholic high school
between Jacksonville and Pensacola.
John Paul II has become the area's
faith-based educational preparation for
college and life. We welcomed our
first students in 2001 and graduated our
first class in 2004.
Accreditation
John Paul II
has been fully accredited by the Southern
Association of Colleges and Schools from the
moment our doors opened. In 2003 and
2008, we earned formal re-accreditation with
notable commendations. This
recognition is invaluable for college
applications.

emotional and spiritual needs. 3.
Each student is capable of learning
according to his/her own ability. 4.
Students learn in different ways and should
be provided with a variety of instruction.
5. Student achievement should be
evaluated using a variety of performance
measures. 6. Well defined goals
with high expectations for individual
student achievement should be the
cornerstone of the curriculum. 7.
Respect for cultural, socioeconomic and
intellectual differences should be
encouraged within the school community.
8. The responsibility for providing a
supportive learning environment should be
shared among teachers, staff,
administrators, parents, students and
members of the community. 9.
Catholic education should be available to
students regardless of their family's
financial status. 10. All members
of the school community should be committed
to continuous improvement and have a
willingness to change in order to maintain
the quality of the school.
Philosophy
"The purpose of Catholic education
is to communicate Christ to the World."
- Pope John Paul II
Our school honors
Pope John Paul II. The Pope presents a
powerful "Witness to Hope." Men and
women of God thank the good God for the gift
of life, leadership and person of Pope John
Paul II: philosopher, theologian,
intellectual, poet, mystic and, above all,
man of God and disciple of Jesus Christ.
